"I want to let you know how much I appreciated this class. This class has changed forever the way I speak. I believe that taking this class, along with practicing the fun Boston RULES worksheets daily, any person will see/hear a dramatic improvement. After class one, when you are not even sure that you will ever be successful, you will notice the way others are speaking, and that's just the beginning! I believe my beginning tapes vs. the taped television segments at the end of the course(The Today Show and New England Cable News) are examples of the extreme improvements that I made." Donna, actor from Lynn, MA “Marjorie is the key ingredient to the Reduce Your Boston Accent Class. She is kind and professional when she corrects your accent. The book she wrote- Boston RULES, has exercises to help you improve your speech. You do need to practice though. Some of the students practice just about everyday and I noticed their improvement. Marjorie also stressed we need to speak slower. The best aspect of this class is we can encourage each other to do better. Oh yeah, we also laugh a lot and have fun.” Sherrill Boudreau, Technical Trainer for a Massachusetts State

From Boston, MA "I used Boston Rules to work with six Bostonians who wanted to reduce their Boston accents. This book is the only resource you will need as either an accent coach or a Bostonian yourself to help develop a more neutral accent. It begins with a clear outline of the various features of the accent, then provides ample stimuli to practice with including single words, sentences, and paragraphs. There are many ideas of fun ways to use this stimuli such a task you can do with a deck of playing cards. Boston Trivia, complete with lots of words which are dead give-aways such as the classic "Park your car in Harvard Yard," is included as well. My clients gave Boston Rules rave reviews. Since the book provides examples of both the Boston and a more standard American English accent, it could be used equally well by anyone wanting to either lose or gain a Boston accent. I highly recommend Boston RULES." Wendy Wiberg, M.A., CCC-SLP, Corporate Speech-Language Pathologist Owner, English Onsite
