Marjorie Feinstein-Whittaker, M.S., CCC-SLP, of The Whittaker Group in Boston, and Lynda Katz Wilner, M.S., CCC-SLP, of Successfully Speaking in the Baltimore-Washington, DC area, are corporate communication trainers and licensed Speech and Language Pathologists. Marjorie is Adjunct Faculty at Bunker Hill Community College and Lynda was Adjunct Faculty at the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC-Essex and Catonsville campuses). Their respective companies specialize in designing communication programs for second language speakers and professionals in the business/financial, high technology, scientific/medical and religious/spiritual professions. Their goal is to help professionals from diverse cultural backgrounds achieve excellent communication skills so that they may reach their full professional potential.
Marjorie Feinstein-Whittaker and Lynda Katz Wilner are current members of TESOL, with a particular interest in the English for Specific Purposes division. They have presented on various topics at the state and international TESOL conventions. They were both Executive Board Members of CORSPAN (Corporate Speech Pathology Network).
Marjorie Feinstein-Whittaker has co-authored a number of training materials including Mastering Idioms of American English (MIAE), Volumes 1 and 2, with Lorna D. Sikorski, and Speak Freely: Aspects of Voice and Communication, with Shannon Jones.
Lynda Katz Wilner has authored Medically Speaking: Accent Modification for the Medical Profession and The Medically Speaking Inventory: An Assessment Tool for Accented Speech.
They have collaborated over fifty years of combined experience to develop RULES: Rules for Using Linguistic Elements of Speech, Medically Speaking RULES, and RULES BY THE SOUND.
